Terms and Conditions

Accountably is a beginner-friendly weekly step-accountability membership. Members set a personalised weekly step goal, submit a verified weekly step result from their own wearable or phone health app, and may earn digital reward vouchers under the eligibility rules below. Accountably is not a medical, coaching, or health-advice service. Talk to a qualified professional before making changes to your activity if you have any health concerns.

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Submissions must reflect your own genuine activity.

You must not:

• Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to send spam.
• Submit falsified, edited, borrowed, or machine-generated step data.
• Infringe anyone's intellectual property rights.
• Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service — including malware, probing, scraping, reverse engineering, or circumventing technical limits.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service.

Accountably retains ownership of the Service and all associated intellectual property, including software, content, and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under your current plan. You retain ownership of the content you submit and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to operate the Service.

Membership is offered at $1 per week, billed as $4 per month (A$4.00/month), recurring until cancelled. There is no free trial.

Accountably is the seller and merchant responsible for this membership. Payments are securely processed by Stripe, our payment processor.

Billing runs through Stripe Checkout and the Stripe billing portal. Accountably remains responsible for the service, customer support, refund decisions and its own tax registrations and legal compliance. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy. Cancelling stops future renewals; you can cancel at any time through the customer portal linked from your membership page, and access continues until the end of the paid period.

The Founding Beta reward season runs for 12 weeks and is limited to the first 100 members. During that season:

• A verified weekly submission earns a $1 digital reward voucher, whether or not the goal was met.
• Reaching your personalised weekly step goal earns an additional $4 digital reward voucher — up to $5 in a week.
• Rewards are digital vouchers. They are not cash, not a rebate, and not a refund of membership fees. Paying alone does not earn a reward; a verified submission is required.
• One reward set per member per week. Submissions must arrive within the submission window and pass our verification and anti-fraud checks.
• This reward offer applies only during the 12-week Founding Beta and does not imply ongoing weekly rewards afterwards. Membership itself continues until you cancel.
• Voucher fulfilment is simulated in the current prototype/demo. No voucher vendor integration is live, and no vendor is connected.
• We may withhold or reverse rewards where submissions appear falsified, duplicated, or otherwise abusive.

A referring member may earn a $5 digital reward voucher after a referred paid member completes two verified weekly submissions. Referrals must be genuine new members; self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and incentivised or bulk sign-ups are not eligible. Referral rewards are digital vouchers, are subject to anti-fraud and eligibility checks, and may be withheld or reversed if abuse is detected.

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We exclude indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service and cancel your membership at any time. On termination your access ends and we delete or anonymise your data in line with our Privacy Notice.

The Service is provided online and may not be available in every country. Membership checkout, payment-method support and voucher fulfilment depend on Stripe's country coverage and on our voucher provider's coverage, so rewards may be unavailable, delayed, or substituted in some countries. We may change, limit, or withdraw features, plans, or the reward season at any time; where a change materially affects a paid period we will tell you and you may cancel.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
